Sufyian Moten comes to High Ridge Partners with experience ranging from audits of asset management companies to leading clients through turnarounds, bankruptcy filings, cashflow modeling, due diligence, and process improvement. His experience covers a large spectrum of industries including energy, automotive and retail. Mr. Moten has also performed strategic projects on the treasury side of a national bank.
Areas of Expertise
Mr. Moten has strong skills in financial statement analysis, forecasting, and financial modelling. He has experience developing liquidation plans and analysis, as well as preparation of Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings. Mr. Moten has also managed process improvement projects within the treasury department of a bank.
Prior to joining High Ridge Partners in 2019, Mr. Moten worked in the capital planning group within the treasury department at Discover Financial Services where he led day to day operations and special projects. Prior to that, Mr. Moten worked at FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm, in the restructuring practice where he prepared liquidity assessments, liquidation analysis, and pre-petition filing documents/schedules. Before FTI, Mr. Moten was a senior auditor at EY conducting audits for a variety of hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms.
Education and Professional Associations
Mr. Moten received his Master’s in Accountancy in 2012 and Bachelor’s in Accountancy in 2010 from Northern Illinois University.
Mr. Moten is a member of the Secured Finance Network (SFNet, f/k/a CFA), Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). He is also a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).
