Background
Patrick D. Cavanaugh is one of the founding principals of High Ridge Partners.  He has spent almost his entire career providing financial management and operational consulting services in the areas of bankruptcy, business workouts, reorganization, and collateral disposition. He has advised companies, secured lenders, creditors’ committees, and equity holders throughout various stages of the restructuring process.

Areas of Expertise
Mr. Cavanaugh possesses strong skills in crisis management, cash flow projections, collateral evaluation, management operations, strategic planning and negotiation. His experience includes interim management services of troubled businesses, business advisory services in out-of-court workouts and formal bankruptcy proceedings, and merger and acquisition activities in the role of contract management or as financial advisor to the company, creditors, or other stakeholders. Mr. Cavanaugh also routinely serves as an assignee for the benefit of creditors, and as a federal equity and state court receiver for middle market companies throughout the U.S.

Mr. Cavanaugh has substantial experience in several industries, including food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, retail, leasing, service, real estate and transportation. He has worked with companies with annual sales ranging from $5 million to $300 million.

Previous Experience
Mr. Cavanaugh has spent his entire professional career working with middle market companies in a wide variety of industries and in various stages of crisis and restructuring. He worked as a consultant for Development Specialists, Inc. for eleven years, and served on the executive committee of this Chicago based firm in 1994 and 1995. Mr. Cavanaugh joined High Ridge Partners in January 1996 as one of its founding principals.

Education and Professional Associations
Mr. Cavanaugh received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in May 1983.

Mr. Cavanaugh is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
